What are they?
Dermal fillers are made from naturally occurring Hyaluronic Acid. This is a natural product found in the body which is produced from bacteria. It binds twenty times its volume of water to give the appearance of plumped up skin, enhancing the appearance of youth and reducing shadows and lines on the face.
What can they be used for?
Nasolabial lines
These grooves form from the nose to the corners of the mouth. Fillers can temporarily reduce the groove.
Lip Fillers
Over time lips appear thinner and lined which can be ageing. Fillers can redefine and enhance the shape of the lips making them appear more voluminous and full.
Marionette Lines
These are lines at the corners of the mouth down to the chin. With dermal fillers, these lines can temporarily appear much reduced.
Is it safe?
As Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced, fillers are very safe and will gradually be reabsorbed by the body as the cells turnover.
How long is it likely to last?
Hyaluronic acid is absorbed and degraded by the body over time. They usually last approximately 6 months.
